How it works

Inside our vertical towers & racks

Vertical systems put more plants on the same floor. Towers grow around a central column, A-frames lean two banks of channels toward the light, and rotating or mobile racks move the crop so every tier gets its share of light and access.

Our towers are molded in thickened ABS or food-grade plastic with circulating pumps; A-frames use galvanized steel with PVC planting troughs that suit strawberries, leafy greens and coconut-coir slabs. Heights, tier counts and trough profiles can be customized to your crop and greenhouse.

Who they're for: Greenhouse operators short on floor area, urban farms, agritourism projects, schools and retail garden centers.

  • Structure

Galvanized steel frames or high-rigidity plastic columns carry the planting sites at several heights.

  • Irrigation

A pump lifts nutrient solution to the top; it trickles or mists down through the root zone and drains back to the tank.

  • Light

In greenhouses the frame angle catches daylight; indoors, LED bars are mounted between tiers.

  • Access

Rotating and rolling designs bring every plant to working height for planting and harvest.

FAQ

Vertical towers & racks: common questions

Can't find your answer? Our engineers reply within one business day.

Ask a question
How many plants fit on an A-frame or tower?

It depends on the length, number of tiers and plant spacing you choose. A-frames are built to length with 5 to 8 tiers per side; towers range from small home models to tall commercial columns. We confirm planting sites per unit in the quotation for your crop.

Which crops suit vertical hydroponics?

Leafy greens, herbs, strawberries and other compact crops do well in towers and A-frames. Heavy vining crops such as tomatoes and cucumbers are better grown in Dutch buckets or substrate bags at floor level.

Do vertical systems need a greenhouse?

Not always. Towers and A-frames work outdoors in mild climates, in greenhouses, or indoors with LED lighting. Outdoors you need shade and wind protection appropriate to your region.

What materials are used?

Frames are hot-dip galvanized steel; troughs and channels are UV-stabilized PVC; tower bodies are thickened ABS or food-grade plastic. Material specifications are listed on each product page and in the quotation.
